MOSAIC – Mobility, Academic Synergy and Initiative for the Development of the Potential of the Fahrenheit Universities Association in Gdańsk under the EURAXESS Initiative – is a strategic project designed to enhance international researcher mobility and strengthen career development services in accordance with European standards.
Led by the Fahrenheit Universities Association – comprising the University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University of Technology, and the Medical University of Gdańsk – the project responds to key challenges in the internationalisation of science and aims to boost the research potential of the Pomeranian region.
MOSAIC will introduce innovative solutions to improve researcher support services, develop institutional infrastructure, and advance staff competencies. All activities adhere to the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. Notably, all three universities hold the European Commission’s HR Excellence in Research award.
The project also reflects core European values by promoting equal opportunities, cultural inclusion, and environmental sustainability. A key outcome will be the establishment of a regional NAWA-EURAXESS Centre, enhancing the attractiveness of Gdańsk as a place to live, work, and conduct world-class research. This initiative will reinforce the region’s ability to attract international talent and create a thriving, globally connected academic community.
The primary objective of MOSAIC is to strengthen the position of the Fahrenheit Universities Association as a regional leader in international researcher mobility and career support, while promoting the scientific potential of Pomerania on the global stage. Creating a regional NAWA-EURAXESS network will provide a strong foundation for international researchers and improve integration services for them and their families.
The University of Gdańsk, as the project leader, has received 749 559,80 PLN for the implementation of “MOSAIC – Mobility, Academic Synergy and Initiative for the Development of the Potential of the Fahrenheit Universities Association in Gdańsk under the EURAXESS Initiative.”
The project is led by Magdalena Sawicz, MA, Director of the Cooperation and International Relations Office at the University of Gdańsk.
